Meaning in Abstract Art- Eito

Art- Grade 2- Unit 4

During this unit, we learned how to use elements of art to create abstract artworks with meaning.  Did you know that artists choose specific lines, shapes, and colors to repeat or emphasize in order to make their artworks more interesting?  Artists can also communicate their personal experiences in abstract art using simple symbols.  We practiced these skills by making our own stamps and printmaking.  We added several layers to our artworks to experiment with how to organize abstract artworks.  Ask me about the meanings of the lines, shapes, colors, emphasis and repetition in my abstract artworks!
