Peace One Day
We finished our first unit of inquiry today. The students all did a wonderful job on their assessments and were able to clearly articulate their learning. When we get back from the break we will we begin our How We Express Ourselves unit.
Peace One Day
We had a wonderful Peace One Day celebration on Wednesday. The students worked with their Grade 6 buddies and participated in cooperation games, drama activities and an art activity. At the end of the day we were privileged to be apart of a whole school assembly. We heard from three guest speakers, Fatima in Grade 5, Angela in Grade 5 and Wan-Hea Lee, the Keynote speaker the country representative for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. We also heard from two secondary students bands and the Grade 5 and 9's singing a migration song.
Healthy Snack Party
This morning we had our Healthy Snack Party. The students really enjoyed listening to the different snacks everyone brought to school and then sharing them with each other.
