The students have spent a lot of time preparing for these conferences and are looking forward to welcoming you into their classroom.

Students have selected between 8-10 pieces of work they would like to show you. This is work that they are proud of and has been carefully selected to ensure a range of subjects, skills, learner profiles and assessments are shown.

Please talk to you child about each piece of work and ask them questions. They maybe shy or try and rush through their work.

Example of questions you can ask:
What challenges do you have in this subject?
How do you think you have improved at this since last year?
Why are you proud of this work?
Which activities are difficult for you? Why?
Why are these your favourite activities? Why?
Which things are difficult for you? Why?
What are your favourite activities? Why?
What are you goals by the end of this year?

How can I help you achieve your goal?

The conference will begin in the classroom, the time range for this will be about 20 - 25 minutes. After this the students will take you to all the single subject rooms. The conference will take one hour to complete. After you leave the classroom you will be asked to subscribe to this blog and take a parent feedback sheet. This will allow yo to give written feedback to your child and myself.
