Nurse Alison comes to visit
Ms Alison came to our class this morning to talk to us about being healthy.
First she spoke to us about eating lots of different, healthy foods. Ms Alison said we should eat a variety of food and one way to remember to do this is to eat different coloured food. Like green cucumbers, red tomatoes, orange carrots and brown meat. She also said that if we eat food at the cafeteria we should try a little bit of everything.
Next, Ms Alison talked to us about exercise. She said we can exercise by running, swimming and doing PE.
After that, we discussed how important drinking water is. Ms Alison wants us to drink water everyday, she recommended drinking a 1 litre bottle of water a day. She said that it is more important to drink water than to eat food.
We then talked about being clean, making sure we have a shower everyday and wearing clean clothes. We also need to brush our teeth two times a day. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
The last thing she spoke to us about was sleep. Ms Alison said sleep is very important, sleep gives us energy, we can think more and it gives our brain time to recharge ready for the next day.
We were very excited to have Ms Alison come and talk to our class. Ms Alison challenged us to make healthy changes in our lives.
